Sophia Ponté (b.1996) is a London-based fine artist whose practice spans drawing, printmaking and painting. She holds a Veterinary MB from the University of Cambridge (2021) and recently completed the Online Drawing Development Year at the Royal Drawing School (2025).
"My work explores my relationship with the natural world, expanding upon quotidian observations through both real and imagined possibilities. I gather the images and natural materials that saturate my life, searching for moments where the boundary between human and nature feels indistinct. As I tend my garden, scavenge wild plants and grind natural pigments into paint, there is a shift between the physical substance of these materials and the value bestowed upon them. They are the foundation for my studies of nature and life, two things which for me, remain inextricably connected."
