Sophia Ponté (b. 1996, London) is a painter and printmaker based in Dorset, England.

Ponté’s paintings serve both as a diaristic account of her observations and as an invitation for us to consider our place within the natural world. Frequent walks spent observing and recording local environments are the starting point, from which paintings are later developed. The significance of place and singular immersive moments are explored with an emphasis on texture and colour.

Sophia received her Veterinary MB from the University of Cambridge in 2021 and is currently attending the Online Drawing Development Year at the Royal Drawing School.​
